Eleven years - and even more radio hits - ago, Ankerstjerne released his self-titled debut album. Since then, he has received multiple platinum certificates for his music - as an artist, songwriter and producer, and alongside his career as an artist, Ankerstjerne has contributed to the creation of some of Danish music's biggest hits, including Rasmus Seebach's "Øde Ø", "I Mine Øjne" and "Olivia", as well as Burhan G's "Din For Evigt", "Kalder Mig Hjem" and "Karma".

The debut album Ankerstjerne came in the wake of his first single under his own name "Tag Hvad Du Vil" with Burhan G. The song went number 2 on both the single and airplay charts and resulted in Ankerstjerne's first platinum certification. The second single "Nattog" with Peter Bjørnskov was released a week before the album and also went platinum. Ankerstjerne was joined by artists such as Rasmus Seebach, Burhan G, Xander, Alberte Winding and Sarah West.

After a busy and successful period as a songwriter and producer for Rasmus Seebach, Burhan G, Nik & Jay and others, Ankerstjerne released his second album For Os in 2015, which spawned hit singles like "Lille Hjerte" and "Mit Navn I Lys" and featured guests like Burhan G, Joey Moe and Shaka Loveless.

Although Ankerstjerne has since chosen to use his talents on songwriting, TV - including as a judge on X-Factor and other projects, he hasn't forgotten where it all started. The feeling of getting close to the audience and performing his music live still resonates with him.
